CanadaThe Centre Hastings Ice Miners are pleased to announce Stephen ‘Coma’ Coens as our Assistant Coach. Steve has played multiple tournaments with the Ice Miners in the past and brings a wealth of knowledge to the club. We were very happy when he accepted the role offered by coach Durant.
Steve was born and raised in Marmora and played minor hockey growing up in Centre Hastings. Steve continued with men’s league hockey and played two (2) seasons in the former Senior AA League with the Marmora Lakers.
Steve has traveled to two (2) National Championship tournaments in Regina and Calgary as a member of the Ice Miners.
Steve is currently active with the Marmora Older Boys hockey club and has spent time helping coach summer hockey in AAA tournaments. Steve is looking forward to helping Coach Durant here with the Ice Miners.
